COVID FAQs

Do you offer asymptomatic (travel, return to work/school) Covid testing for the community?

No, unfortunately our testing supply is limited to symptomatic patients only, due to a low supply. However, options for asymptomatic testing are offered at Wal Greens drive through, Wyoming Dept of Health via mail, and both Wal Mart and Wal Greens now have Binex tests for purchase with instant results (please note that these are not PCR tests).

I have symptoms of Covid and need to see a provider to be evaluated?

You may call and make an appointment in our Respiratory Clinic for evaluation by a Provider. 754-7257. We are experiencing higher patient volumes right now and may not have same day access. There are also other options in our community including Heritage Health (764-4107), Cody Regional Health Urgent Care. Patients with symptoms of worsening respiratory distress should consider the Emergency room for evaluation.

I think I was exposed to someone with Covid, what should I do?

Refer to the CDC website for the most up to date guidance related to possible exposure and quarantine at cdc.gov. Questions still, use Park County Public Health Covid 19 Resource Line at 307-527-1866 or 307-754-1866 open M-F 8 – 5 pm.

I tested positive/negative for Covid, what should I do?

Follow any guidance/instructions you received from your Provider/clinical care team related to isolation/quarantine, self-care, monitoring for worsening symptoms and what to do in this case. As always, refer to CDC guidelines.

I tested positive for Covid, should I be retested to make sure it went away?

Retesting is not currently a recommendation by the CDC and the guidance provided by the CDC should be followed in terms of length of time one may continue to shed the virus.
