Powell Valley Healthcare is hosting a community event on Thursday, September 26 to celebrate its 5-star rating by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid. The community is invited to come and enjoy a hot dog, chips, drink, and dessert between 4:30 and 6:30 p.m. on the patio outside the hospital café, just west of the emergency department. In case of inclement weather, the event will take place in the café.
“We are all excited to celebrate with our community and recognize this outstanding accomplishment by our staff,” said Arleen Campeau, Chief Nursing Officer. “Accomplishing a 5-star CMS rating is not easily achieved and I am so proud of our team and thankful for all of them. We hope the community can come and share in this with us,” Campeau said. The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid added the 5-star rating to its hospital compare program in 2015 as part of the public reporting of hospital quality data on its website. PVHC recently received 5-stars on the patient survey rating, which measures patients’ experiences of their hospital care.
