“During my treatment with Dr. Collins and her staff, I was continually impressed by their kindness and
thoughtfulness. From the start, they made me feel like a part of their family. Each week, I would visit the office
and they shared in every moment with me, whether the news was good or bad. They thoroughly discussed every

What stood out about the care I received at PVHC was that it felt like so much more than just cancer
treatment. I was diagnosed around the end of February 2023, and it quickly became a race to find a treatment
plan and start my care. From the moment I began treatment with Dr. Collins and PVHC, the journey was filled
with ups and downs, and it still is. However, the office and infusion clinic made it feel like I was visiting friends
rather than attending appointments. Each week, I looked forward to coming to Powell because it felt like visiting
friends, making the time fly by and feel less daunting. Saying goodbye at the end of each week was difficult
because we genuinely cared for and invested time in each other. True care goes beyond developing a plan; it’s
about building relationships and cheering each other on through the hard times.

I wholeheartedly recommend PVHC to anyone in my situation or anyone in need of infusion services. I was
referred to Dr. Collins by two different sources: a teacher I work with, whose son and husband both see Dr.
Collins, and the surgeon who performed my biopsy. Thanks to their honesty and recommendations, I chose to see
Dr. Collins, and it was the best decision I ever made. It’s crucial to trust the opinions of those who matter to you,
and I’m glad I did.

My diagnosis came as a complete shock, especially considering my age and trying to start a family the prior
year. Dr. Collins was instrumental in helping us navigate treatment options that would protect our chances of
having a child while addressing my breast cancer. This was a priority for her and her team. Additionally, Dr. Collins
and her team ensured that I could continue working and meeting the needs of my special education students,
who are very important to me. Their support allowed me to focus on my students while they took care of me.

I must also mention the incredible experience at the infusion clinic. The staff there made me feel like part of a
family. We knew and cared about one another beyond the medical aspects, creating a supportive and comforting
environment. If you’re fortunate enough to walk through those doors and experience the warmth and care of the
staff (including seeing Whitney dance), you’ll understand what it means to go through your journey with a group
that truly supports you.”

From my visit to the ER, to my stay in the hospital, to going out the front door, everything about my care was excellent.  The attitude and cheerfulness of the staff was unbelievable.  You have got some special, special people working here.  They were great about telling me what they were doing and kept me informed all the time.  I appreciated that.  They provided conscientious care.  I see good staff morale here.  You can feel it by how they work together.  It’s very comfortable how they introduce each other during shift changes.  Physical Therapy was also great.

I like how the call light system informs you that your care team has been notified.  And they always come quickly.  I loved the ‘room service’ provided by the kitchen staff.  It made me feel special.  The food quality and appearance were great, which helped me to eat well and stay nourished during my recovery.  The kitchen staff are the best! If I must come back to a hospital, this is where I will come.

reservations were quickly diminished the minute we walked
through the door. Everyone made Jan feel so special, which
alleviated our worry about the lengthy process.

“After having been cancer free for 12 years, to receive another cancer diagnosis
and have it staged at four was very overwhelming. Just the thought of having
to navigate treatment and doctor schedules was discouraging. A dear friend
told me Dr. Collins was practicing here in Powell. I was relieved to be able to
see an oncologist just minutes from my home. She developed a treatment plan,
answered all my questions and visited with my daughters, which helped us all
relax. I felt I could ask anything (and did). She helped me navigate the side
effects of chemo treatments; such as what to eat (drink plenty of water) or what
supplements and medications were ok. I was able to do all my infusions here. In
fact, the Infusion Center became a family of sorts. I could visit with staff and other
patients, or just watch a movie on my tablet, that is until I fell asleep. Some of
us told jokes or shared funny stories. Some just let us know they cared and were
wishing or praying for good outcomes. Rachel, Whitney and Patty at the Infusion
Center are always kind. They kept me encouraged.

it a 100. Everyone has been awesome, and
they have all went above and beyond. They

My food is always hot, and prompt. Will

opened. They go above and beyond. The
nurses have all been very, very caring. The

my initial consultation very quickly. Dr. Collins had a concise, direct treatment plan in place for me at that first

to help me and my family know what we might expect over the next several months. I had a direct line to her
nurse coordinator who kept my treatments and appointments organized and on schedule and was a great go-to

intake specialist who greets patients at the door, to the nurses and aides, to the dedicated specialty pharmacist.

time to get to know and enjoy these fine people over time and to appreciate their dedication to their patients.
